Sheila Williams has a lyrical touch that she brings to every book that she writes. Perhaps that's because she's been molding stories and working with words since she first started writing stories, poetry, plays, and newspaper articles as a child.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Williams attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated from the University of Louisville. After graduation she worked as a paralegal and corporate product manager until her books began to sell in 2001.

Her books have won several state awards, including Kentucky Educational Television book club selection and a Kentucky Literary Prize nomination for fiction.
