Richard Roeper

Richard Roeper had the tough job of becoming Ebert's new partner after Siskel passed on. Roeper came to the job with a heavy load of credentials. He writes a daily column for the Chicago Sun Times and The New York Times and a monthly film column for Esquire. His works have appeared in such magazines as Playboy, Spy, Glamour, and Entertainment Weekly. He characterizes himself as an expert on pop culture.
Roeper has also been a contributor to Fox News in Chicago where he was nominated for five Emmys, winning twice. He's hosted numerous radio shows. In addition to his newspaper and magazine writing, Roeper has published books on movies and urban legends.
A graduate of Illinois State University, Roeper has lived in Chicago for most of his life.
