Stephen Piziks got his first taste of professional publishing at age 14 when the editor of The Mother Earth News bought an article he wrote about raising rabbits. From there he returned to writing about magic and folklore and didn't submit to another magazine for the next 10 years.
In 1991, he began writing for such magazines and anthologies as Sword and Sorceress, Dragon magazine, Chicks in Chainmail, and Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine.
Piziks is an English and health teacher at Walled Lake high school and has published nine novels and numerous short stories.
