Nancy Pickard
Nancy Pickard has charmed the world with her Jenny Cain mysteries.
A queen among mystery writers, she has been president of Sister in Crime, served on the board of directors of the Mystery Writers of America, and has won numerous awards including an Anthony, Shamus, Macavity, and Agatha (the only author to ever win all four of them). She's received additional nominations for all of those awards plus the Edgar, and American Mystery Awards.
Born in 1945, Pickard earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Univeristy of Missouri-Columbia and then spent several years working as a reporter, editor, and freelance writer. At age 35, she began writing fiction.
Since then, her books have been published in countries all around the world from Australia to Japan to Sweden to Spain.
