Stephenie Meyer
Stephenie Meyer began her career as a novelist while raising three boys under the age of eight.
One of six children, Stephenie Meyer was born in Connecticut and raised in Arizona where she attended a school filled with wealthy classmates. She earned a degree in English literature from Brigham Young University.
Her first novel received much critical praise including a designation as the Best Book of the Year by Publisher's Weekly. Within two years it had been translated into 20 different languages.
