Gayle Lynds
Gayle Lynds broke the gender barrier with her bestselling espionage thrillers. A former editor for a government think tank, she has a broad knowledge of espionage topics. So strong was her writing that Robert Ludlum picked Gayle Lynds to be his co-author and to pick up his mantle as a leading writer of the genre.
Lynds began writing with a Santa Barbara magazine and published eleven pulp fiction novels under male pen names. She grew up in a small Iowa town and graduated from the University of Iowa with a journalism degree. She now lives in California with her husband, novelist Dennis Lynds.
