Gillian Linscott
Gillian Linscott honed her teeth on crime and violence while working as a journalist for the The Guardian and The BBC.
Her greatest popularity has come with her historical series that features a suffragette detective, Nell Bray. Linscott's work in that series won her an Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award.
Born in 1944, Linscott attended Maidenhead High School and Somerville College, Oxford.
