Wally Lamb

Wally Lamb is a teacher, writer, and bestselling author. The winner of numerous awards, he's seen two of his books become Oprah book club selections. His first novel received rave reviews and was named one of the most notable books of the year by numerous publications.

Born in 1950, he earned degrees from the University of Connecticut and a master of fine arts from the Vermont College Writing program. He received an NEA grant for fiction. In addition to teaching at the University of Connecticut, Lamb has taught writing at the York Correctional Institution.
