Mercedes Lackey
A prolific storyteller who has created many worlds of magic and fantasy, Mercedes Lackey considers herself a storyteller who is addicted to writing.
Born in 1950 in Chicago, Lackey graduated from Perdue University and went on to be a model, security guard, and a computer programmer. Her first novel was published in 1987 and since then she has produced anywhere from two to ten novels per year, often in collaboration with other writers.
Lackey now lives in Oklahoma with her husband, artist Larry Dixon.
