Terry Goodkind
Terry Goodkind, born in 1949, became a huge name in fantasy with the publication 
of his first novel in 1994. It launched him onto the bestseller list and he's produced books at a steady rate to feed the appetite of loyal, ravenous fans.
He took a roundabout path to the destination of bestselling fantasy author. His jobs have included wildlife artist, home builder, cabinet maker, violin maker, carpenter, hypnotherapist and restorer of artifacts. It wasn't until he began writing that he knew he'd found his life's calling.
He and his wife live in a home that he built in the woods near the ocean in an undisclosed location.
