Anita Diamant
Anita Diamant was looking for a career change when she turned 40. She'd already published several non-fiction books and wanted a change of pace. So she published what became an immediate sensation, selling more than 200,000 paperback copies: The Red Tent.
The Red Tent
is a novel with extensive research behind it, research that Diamant
was able to perform as she was then on a library fellowship at Radcliffe
College and had access to the Harvard Library system.
Diamant is a Boston-based writer and lecturer whose nonfiction books focus on contemporary Jewish life. As a journalist, her work has appeared in The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Parenting, Parents, Hadassah, Reform Judaism, and Yankee.
