Carl Chu

Carl Chu is a Los-Angeles based writer who founded a publishing company, Crossbridge, in 2002. He grew up in California, eventually attending school at Northwestern University and working for a Chicago consulting firm. The winter winds of 1998 blew him back to Los Angeles, a city that the says is "singularly the most livable city in world - exciting and complex, yet with none of the pretense and snobbery that afflict the psyche of other world-class cities."
Chu wants his travel guides to break the traditional mold to provide detailed work on specific characteristics and themes in the cities or countries which the books examine. He wants the books to not just provide practical travel information, but also a rich, in-depth portrait of cultures and people.
