Lincoln Child

Lincoln Child is a man with a delightful sense of humor. If you must have proof, read the autobiography and the life timeline that he wrote about himself on the home page he shares with Douglas Preston.

In it you'll learn such mundane facts as that he was born in Connecticut in 1957, educated at Carleton College and worked at St. Martin's Press for a number of years. He'll tell you about how he then became a programmer for MetLife until the publication of the novels written in collaboration with Douglas Preston and the filming of Relic.

But he manages to do it in a droll fashion, poking fun at his early childhood writing efforts and his inability to finish heavy novels that go on for too long.

There's also something endearing about a pair of authors who look for bad reviews that they can post in their Rogue's Gallery and reply to with their own pithy comments.
