Ted Chiang
There aren't many writers who can claim that every story they've ever published has been nominated for or won a major literary award.
Ted Chiang can.
With only eight stories under his belt, Chiang has won the Campbell New Writer Award, two Nebulas, a Sturgeon award, a Sidewase Award, a Locus Award, and been nominated for three Hugos.
It's a success that so intimidated him that he stopped writing fiction for a while and increased the time he was spending as a technical writer for the computer industry.
Born in Port Jefferson, New York, Chiang earned a degree in Computer Science from Brown University.
