Diane Carey

Diane Carey is often credited as having helped shape the Star Trek universe like no other author. Diane Carey had published six books when she began her first Star Trek novel-a novel that was one of the first Star Trek novels to hit the New York Times bestseller list. She's written for each of the Star Trek lines, often in collaboration with her husband, Greg Brodeur, who brainstorms with her on plots and characters.

Diane Carey's father was a career Marine, a fact which she acknowledges has influenced her stories to be more militaristic than many others in the line. She is also an extremely quick writer, sometimes writing her novelizations of television episodes in as little as five and a half days.
