Meg Cabot
Meg Cabot has made a generation of teenagers fall in love with her. The author of more than 60 young adult novels, she rocketed to fame with the publication of her The Princess Diaries.
Born in Indiana in 1967, Meg Cabot fell in love with such authors as Jane Austen and Judy Blume, writers who first sparked her desire to take up storytelling as a vocation. The theater caught her eye in high school and she went on to earn a fine arts degree at Indiana University and take up illustrating. She worked for several businesses in New York, including MTV and Planned Parenthood before she submitted her first novel, a historical romance written under the name of Patricia Cabot.
Since then, readers can't buy her books quickly enough as she explores the lives of teenagers and the things that matter to them.
