Jan Brett
Jan Brett is much loved among children and their parents for her charming stories and equally captivating drawings. It is her own memories of losing herself in beautiful picture books as a child that inspired her to become an illustrator and storyteller.
Brett, born June 1, 1949, attended the Museum School in Boston and frequently travels with her husband, studying the architecture and costumes of the lands that she portrays in her story books. When she isn't traveling, she lives in Massachusetts along with her pet hedgehog, Buffy.
